The Asian Attraction

Architect Caterina Roiatti, principal, Traboscia Roiatti Inc., New York specifies Rakks shelving systems and custom fixtures for new Pearl River store in SoHo.

The Asian emporium selling floor occupies over 20,000 square feet of retail space at 477 Broadway between Broome and Grand streets. Roiatti specified the Rakks shelving system because it provided a neutral fixture quality that didn't conflict with the eclectic merchandise.

"The architects had used our products in other projects, and they decided our system would be part of the general aesthetic for Pearl River," said David Greenberg, Rangine Vice President. "They had computer renderings, and we used them to mock up full-scale prototypes."
